Kanonkop Guest House is the perfect destination for the golf traveller as we are corporate members at Fancourt, Pezula and Simola golf estates. Our guests are therefore able to play these magnificent courses at discounted prices. If you re felling less energetic, spend your days relaxing around our magnificent salt water pool or climb aboard our luxury speedboat for a romantic sunset cruise. All watersports, fishing and cycling are arranged and offered "in-house". Accommodation Our beautiful rooms each have their own character. They are individually created and named and gorgeously decorated with the ideas and artwork of talented South African artists. Paradise Paradise is the crème de la crème of bedrooms, offering the ultimate in opulent accommodation and panoramic views of the entire Knysna Lagoon.
The king-size bed faces onto double glass doors leading out to a private balcony set above our indigenous forest. Screened from the bedroom by wooden shutters, the spacious bathroom has a separate shower and an elevated, over-sized bath which, too, boasts a spectacular vista.
Paradise sets the scene for romantic indulgence. Sunbird Sumptuous Sunbird, situated on the middle level, is a light filled and spacious room opening onto the garden on one side and overlooking the forest and lagoon on the other. A private balcony overlooking the stunning Knysna lagoon is the perfect place from which to enjoy the sunset (or an early morning coffee).
This ultra-luxurious room has either king-size or single beds and a comfortable lounge area with satellite television. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and separate shower and many other fine touches to make your stay at Kanonkop House as pleasurable as possible. Forest Stunning new Forest Room spans the lower level and is set in the indigenous forest with sparkling glimpses of lagoon captured between the trees.
Forest is a room designed to capture the imagination with stunning individual touches and luxurious appointments. The sumptuous king size bed (that can also convert to 2 single beds) allows views out through the large sliding doors into the forest and the lagoon beyond.
This large open plan room is spacious but cocooned and includes a bath and separate shower, a reading corner and wall mounted television and a work nook.

Lose your worries and be happy in these luxurious adjacent en-suite rooms. Spacious, light and airy, Sivuyile and No Matata each have queen-sized beds, (with the option of an additional single bed if required) and a seating area with satellite television, music and cd selection. The en-suite bathrooms include a bath and separate shower.

The Villa has three spacious bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom. All are fitted with king-size beds but there is the option of single bed conversion if required.
The elegant upper level bedroom has a reading corner and a private balcony overlooking the forest and lagoon. The two beautifully appointed bedrooms on the lower level are set within the canopy of the forest with large windows offering close-up views of trees and birdlife. Living is easy…
Accentuating the magnificent view, the living areas on the middle floor are all inter-connected in an open plan layout to create a relaxed, holiday atmosphere.
The centrally positioned, ultra modern kitchen is fully equipped with top-of-the-range appliances including electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. On arrival the fridge is stocked with complimentary wine, beer and soft dinks. The dining area, with an eight-seater table, extends into a spacious lounge leading out through double glass doors onto one of the large decks surrounding the villa. A second lounge provides yet another recreational space in which you can relax on plush couches while watching a DVD or satellite TV on a large plasma screen. A fully integrated music system is connected throughout the villa.

The Villa is fully serviced and a full breakfast is prepared and served each morning where advice can be offered on ‘where to go’ and ‘ what to do’ to make your stay truly memorable. We will also make any necessary arrangements – whether it’s booking a golf game, organising a picnic lunch, embarking on a sunset cruise or making a restaurant reservation. Don’t hesitate to ask!

Mark is a qualified and experienced skipper, and can arrange waterskiing and wake-boarding as well as tuition if required. Lagoon fishing is also available aboard our fully equipped motor boat. If you prefer something more relaxing, take a sunset cruise aboard our luxury speed boat and watch the lagoon transform into shimmering molten liquid under an orange sky. Spellbinding!
Guests are also welcome to make use of our double and single canoes to explore the waterways or, for those who are fit and energetic, we have two mountain bikes and will gladly transport you to a forest reserve and collect you afterwards.
