DescriptionBrenton on sea is a small seaside village with the most beautiful unspoiled beach close to the town of Knysna, situated in the heart of the garden route. Enjoy 5km's of uninterrupted beach walk to Buffalo Bay, with huge "fynbos" (indigenous bush) covered sand dunes on one side and nothing but ocean to the south. Walk in the forests to the sound of the surf and the birds or stroll along the cliff-top and look down upon untouched beaches. Dolphins surf the waves and the Brydes whale can be sighted throughout the year, the Southern Right and the Humpback Whales visit our shores between June and November each year. See the endangered African Black Oystercatcher in it's natural habitat and maybe catch a sighting of the majestic African Fish Eagle swooping for it's prey in the waves. Brenton on sea is just 15km's from busy Knysna with it's restaurants, shops, waterfront, boat trips including Ocean Odyssey for dolphin and whale watching, and all other amenities the town has to offer. For the adventurous there is paragliding, abseiling, quad biking, scuba diving and plenty more. The highest bungy jump at Bloukrans is less than 1 hour away. There are many forest walks on both sides of town. For the golfing enthusiasts, we are surrounded by many top golf courses, Simola and Pezula to name a few. It is only just over 1 hour to Tsitsikamma National Park to the east, Mossel bay to the west and Oudtshoorn to the north, so day trips can be made to explore these places and others en route.Visit the Garden Route at any time of the year – but winter has many advantages – it is quieter, less expensive & contrary to what most people think, the weather is mild. The odd front moves up from Cape Town to bring a few days of bad weather, but on the whole, the Garden Route has a very temperate winter. It is also the best time of the year to combine a trip to the coast incorporated with a ‘game reserve’. ‘Game spotting’ in winter is better than in summer as the bush is ‘less abundant’. We are in close proximity to many game parks, including Shamwari, Lalibela, Botlierskop, Buffalo Hills, Kariege, Pumba, ADDO – to name but a few Accommodation Dolphins Hill bed & breakfast is situated on the top road coming into Brenton on sea, so the first thing you see upon arriving at this beautiful, wooden home is a panoramic view of the ocean.
