An excellent retreat for families or groups, Bayhouse is adouble storey self-catering house with six bedrooms, nestled on Leisure Island on the famous Knysna Lagoon withprime beach frontage and stunning views of the Heads. 

If you prefer a spacious, self-catering house to a hotelroom, then the Bayhouse is for you. A double storey home on LeisureIsland, a private retreat within the famous Knysna Lagoon, it opens out onto50m of private beach and boasts stunning views of the Heads. The town of Knysna is just 10 minutesaway with its bustling waterfront, so you are not far from an array ofrestaurants, bars, cafes and entertainment options. The house offers reams ofspace, with 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 3 lounges spread across two floors. Themain lounge boasts a fireplace, open-plan dining room and bar/breakfast counterarea. If you need it, there is satellite TV, a DVD player, books and gamesgalore.

While away the days on the outdoor patio with a sparkling swimming pool andbarbeque area, complete with wooden table and benches for al fresco dining.There is a fully equipped kitchen and scullery with a range of basic supplies.The six bedrooms can be configured as twins or doubles, each reflecting thewhitewashed feel of a seaside retreat, and there are additional facilities forbabies and infants. There is a garage which can host two cars and extraoff-street parking for two more vehicles. The house can accommodate a maximumof 10 people and can be booked for a minimum of four, with the charge being perperson, not for the whole house.

The Bayhouse allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of Knysna and relax inyour own private sanctuary. Leisure Island is nestled withinthe Knysna Lagoon and boasts some rather lovely beaches, ideal for swimming,fishing, sailing or just strolling along the white sands. The house opens outonto 50m of beach frontage and the views of the Heads will mesmerize you. Theisland connects to the mainland with a causeway, just 10 minutes from town soyou can join the crowds when you feel like it. Or relax in your double storeyhouse, bask beside the swimming pool and just take in your surroundings - youare on holiday after all!

Rates

High season (15th December to 15th January) R 650 per person, per night

Mid season (16th January to 15th May) R 550 per person, per night

Low Season (16th May to 30th June) R 450 per person, per night

Oyster Festival (1st July to 14th July) R 550 per person, per night

Low season (15th July to 14th September) R 450 per person, per night

Mid season (15th September to 14th Dec) R 550 per person, per night

EASTER (10th to 14th April) R 550 per person, per night.

• Children: 0 -12 years pay 50%, 13 – 18 years pay 100%

1. The rates above are quoted per person per night, with a minimum of 4 (four) guests and a maximum of 10 (ten) guests.

2. The accommodation sleeps 10 (ten) people and this number may only be exceeded with the written consent of the Bayhouse. Should such consent be given, the Bayhouse reserves the right to increase the rental accordingly.

3. A minimum stay of 2 (two) days is required.

4. The rates are subject to change at any time by the owner’s discretion.

5. Children of all ages are welcome. A reduced rate for children under 12 is available, please request a quote.

6. The Bayhouse is booked out as an entire unit, offering guest’s use of the entire house and complete privacy.

7. The deposit (50%) is due immediately to secure the booking, and the balance (50%) is payable on, or before arrival.

8. Book in time is 2pm and check-out time is 10am. Arrangements can be made for earlier arrivals and later departures on request.
