What do our users think30.12.2007 by Caren Walsh from South Africa- This is a warning to potential visitors: The website is totally misrepresented of the accomodation offered. The 4 cottages on the website may very well be available, however visitors should be warned that there is also other accomodation which bears no resemblesence to that advertised on the websites. This consists of 5 single separete units each with double bed, sleeper couch, dining room, kitchenette, bathroom - ALL IN ONE! Supposedly suitable for family use. Each has a large sliding door window opening directly onto the communal pool, which is less than 2 metres from the door. The pool is shared by approx 10 units and there is no protective fencing for small children. The date that we checked in, there where approx 15 screaming children less then 2 metres from our window, which offered no privacy from the families using the pool or from the unbeareable afternoon sun, as the curtains did not close properly. Another important fatcor was the total lack of secruity on the sliding door, which meant that the door would need to be closed all night further increasing the discomfort of the room heated by the afternoon sun. Furthermore, the kitchen window over looked the N2 highway with all it's attendant noise of continual trucks, cars, buses etc passing by at all hours - not to mention all the pollution! The views advertised of the lagoons were no existent from this row of units as they only over looked the pool and into the opposite row of units. There was no patio for this row of units or anywhere for families to sit together with any degree privacy. We counted 2 communal braais on either side of the pool area meant to service the 5 newly buildt units, which up to 4 people in each unit! We were taken in by website advertising offering 4 cottages sharing a communal pool. Each cottage was advertised with a bedroom with double bed, lounge with sleeper couch, patio with outdoor furniture and braai facilities, gally kitchen and private garden with views of the lagoon. This was clearly a total misrepresentation of the accomodation that we found on arrival, which we were unable to use for our holiday requirements. In fact we had to cancel our entire Christmas holiday and return home totally dissapointed! We would advise that before you pay your deposit, get a wirtten description ont the accomodation that you are paying for. We certainly will not be returning anytime! |
